The Dark Web is a part of the World Wide Web that can only be accessed through special software. The most commonly used software is called TOR. It allows users to communicate anonymously on the networks without revealing identifying information, such as their location.

Neither a regular search engine nor an anonymizer search engine can access Darkweb sites. And almost all illegal activity takes place exactly in Darkweb because of its maximum closed nature.

Take the already familiar Facebook site, but already with a .onion domain. The site is not indexed by the usual search engines. In addition, you will be able to access it only through the Tor browser. This is all to say that the site is located in the Darknet. However, there may be closed groups on Facebook.onion where members exchange forbidden information. The content of these closed groups can be classified as Darkweb because it is located on the Darknet, but the average user does not have access to it.
